He knew something needed to change, but wasn't ready to take that first step. Everything shifted when he discovered "Forks Over Knives" and "The Engine 2 Diet." Inspired by their message, Shane dove headfirst into plant-based living – or as he likes to say, went "cold kale." This decision not only transformed his health but led him to discover a new passion: creating simple, delicious plant-based versions of beloved Southern dishes. Today, as the founder of shaneandsimple.com, Shane brings his down-to-earth approach to plant-based cooking. "I'm just your average, ordinary guy who makes plant-based cooking casual, easy, and delicious," he explains. "No fancy equipment, no chef speak – just a normal dude who loves to cook good food that happens to be completely plant-based.
